How the Premier League table works
- There are no playoffs: 20 clubs play each other home and away (38 games), with 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. The most points wins the title.
- The top four qualify for the Champions League. In seasons when English clubs earn UEFA’s extra “European Performance Spot”, fifth place does too.
- The next places, together with the FA Cup and League Cup winners, go to the Europa League and Conference League.
- The bottom three are relegated to the Championship, replaced by three promoted clubs.
Tiebreakers
Goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head results.
How the odds work
The odds come from playing out the rest of the season thousands of times. Each simulated game is decided by the two teams’ records so far, pulled toward average early in the season, and teams that finish level are separated with the league’s official tiebreakers.
